Professor Shi's research focuses on fundamental and
technology innovation in protein chromatography and the solid-liquid
interfacial phenomena of biopolymers. In his research, he utilizes both
experimental and theoretical approaches to understand fundamental issues and
address the technical problems in a wide variety of biotechnology fields. He
has published over 40 articles and licensed over 15 Chinese and PCT patents.
Professor Shi has received several awards including New Century Excellent
Talent Award by Ministry of Education in China (2008), Natural Science Award of
Tianjin (First prize, 2003) and Natural Science Awards of Chinese Universities
(Second prizes in 2002 and 2012)
